Why is acupuncture growing so rapidly in the U.S.?
· It is safe, effective and has virtually no side effects.
· It uses the body’s own natural healing processes to effect relief.
· It works on many health problems for which Western medicine is less effective.
· It puts people back in control of their own bodies and health care.
· It treats the whole person and not just the disease or underlying problem

Is acupuncture safe?
· In the hands of a certified acupuncturist, your safety is assured.
· The needles are available in pre-sterilized, disposable form so that the risk of transmittable diseases is eliminated.

What can I expect if treated?

· Many conditions may be alleviated very rapidly by acupuncture and herbs; however, some conditions which have arisen over a course of months or years will only be relieved with slow, steady progress.
· As in any form of healing, the patientīs attitude, diet, determination and lifestyle will affect the outcome of a course of treatment.
· As in China, acupuncture should be seen as complementary with Western medicine.

Do you accept insurance reimbursement for any of your treatments?
· We do not accept any insurance. Our services are affordably priced for this reason. We do accept personal checks, MC/VISA and DISCOVER CARDS.
· If you do have a prescription for massage therapy or acupuncture from you physician or nurse practitioner, we will supply you with a receipt and list of services that you may submit to your insurance carrier. **It is important to note that most insurance companies do not cover our services**

There are a few basic things one should know before receiving a massage. The main thing to remember is that you should ENJOY your massage.

· If removing your clothes would make you feel extremely uncomfortable, then
leave something on (we recommend always leaving your underpants on). The full benefits of massage can not be met if fully clothed.
· We keep our treatment rooms warm and your modesty is of importance to us. There are sheets and blankets that cover you at all times and only the area being treated or massaged is exposed.
· The therapist will instruct you to lie on you back or stomach and will come back into the room after you are settled on the massage table.
· From this point on, your job is to close your eyes, listen to the music and enjoy your massage.
